Mumbai: Neeraj Kumar Dohare has taken charge as Senior Deputy General Manager (SDGM), Central Railway, Mumbai on 29.01.2025. He is an Officer of the Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) from the 1991 Batch.

Neeraj Kumar Dohare, passed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur in 1991 and joined Indian Railways on 30th November 1992. Prior to his appointment as SDGM, he served as Divisional Railway Manager, Solapur Division, Central Railway from 2022 to 2025.

Dohare did his Masters Diploma in Public Administration from Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi in 2017-18 and has extensive experience in Procurement of Materials, Scrap sales and Stores Depot Management

Throughout his distinguished career, Neeraj Kumar Dohare has held key positions across Indian Railways. He served as Chief Materials Manager with Central Railway from 2019 to 2022 and in the same capacity with Konkan Railway Corporation from 2018 to 2019.

He was Director, Railway Stores Inventory Control, Railway Board, New Delhi from 2015 to 2017.

He worked as Deputy Chief Materials Manager with Western Railway from 2003 to 2014, as Vigilance Officer (Stores) with North Eastern Railway from 1997 to 2001 and as Assistant Controller of Stores at Krishnarajpuram Diesel Shed, South Western Railway (erstwhile Southern Railway) from 1994 to 1996.

With his rich experience in Materials Management and Public Administration, Dohare in his new capacity as Senior Deputy General Manager, Central Railway is poised to play an important role in enhancing the efficiency of Central Railway.
