The Indian Railways' SuperApp is slated to be released to the public shortly. This app combines various services offered by Indian Railways, currently available on disparate mobile apps, into a single user interface, providing seamless navigation. The app is designed to provide users with easy and seamless access, with special emphasis on enhancing both the user interface and user experience.

"The Centre for Railway Information Systems, on behalf of the Ministry of Railways, has almost completed the development of the SuperApp to provide a single platform for all public-facing applications of Indian Railways," said an official. "Initially, the app will offer services for reserved tickets, unreserved and platform tickets, train enquiries, PNR enquiry, on-board food ordering, RailMadad, and freight-related enquiries."

In its first phase, the app will offer booking services for reserved tickets, unreserved tickets, and platform tickets. Additionally, it will provide train enquiries, PNR enquiries, on-board food ordering, Rail Madad (a help and grievance platform), and freight-related enquiries.

The main features of the SuperApp include an all-in-one app, single sign-on, ease of login, and more. "Currently, separate apps are required for reserved and unreserved booking, as well as for checking train movement and schedules. The SuperApp will integrate these services, providing a unified platform for users," said an official.

"Users will be able to access all services using single credentials, which will also be applicable across existing Indian Railways apps, such as IRCTC RailConnect and UTS Mobile App," he added.

The SuperApp will provide comprehensive information from multiple sources in a cohesive and unified manner. For example, PNR enquiries will also display associated train information. Furthermore, users can utilize their existing RailConnect or UTS App credentials to onboard the SuperApp, with a simplified sign-up process to enhance user experience.

According to an official, multiple login options are available to enhance user experience. Once logged in, the app can be accessed subsequently using either mPIN or biometric authentication.
