The dissident minister of Rajasthan's Bhajan Lal government, Kirori Lal Meena is looking in a mood to open a front against his government. Talking to the media in the assembly on Friday, Meena expressed his pain and said that it hurts that the government has forgotten the issues that brought the BJP to power in the state.
“Whatever I say is truth. I am not a yes-man. It pained that I fought on the streets for 5 years. Everyone knows who played the role of the opposition. I was not even allowed to hold a press conference in the party office at that time, but I kept fighting on the streets. We have come to power on the issues that I raised, but now it hurts that the government has forgotten those issues,” said Meena adding that action should be taken against those who stabbed the youth and leaked the papers of recruitment exams.
Meena, who is a veteran Bjp leader and holds a good command over a major vote bank of Meena community, was a prominent contender for the Chief Ministership, but was made only a cabinet minister. His supporters had expressed their annoyance over this.
Then he resigned as minister, taking the responsibility for party's poor performance on the seats of East Rajasthan in the Lok Sabha elections, however his resignation has bot been accepted until now, but he is skipping the assembly sessions where he is supposed to represent the government as minister. This time also, he has sought the permission to remain absent in the name of health conditions.
He said that now the time is of Yes-men. If we keep saying yes, the relationship will last long and if someone says No, he has to suffer, but I am not in the habit of saying yes.
