An X user named Riya Rathore on Friday shared shocking CCTV footage showing a reckless car driver hitting a woman, knocking her down on the road, and fleeing the scene as if nothing had happened.
Riya claimed that the woman seen in the video was her mother, and the incident took place on January 20, when her mother, Kusum Rathore, was hit by a reckless driver while she was crossing the road at a zebra crossing.
She stated that the driver was dangerously overtaking when the car struck her mother. "Instead of stopping, he fled the scene, leaving her with multiple fractures and a head injury," she said.

Riya informed that an FIR had been lodged against the culprit at the Manpada Police Station in Thane's Dombivali.
In her post, she tagged the Maharashtra CM, Mumbai Police, DGP Maharashtra, and others, urging them to take action against the accused.
"This person, who was driving recklessly, is still free, enjoying his life, while it has been 11 days and my mom is still in the ICU, fighting for her life. Is this justice?" she wrote in another tweet.
At the time of publishing this report, Mumbai Police responded to Riya's post, requesting her to report the matter to her nearest police station.
However, since the matter had already been reported at the Manpada Police Station, as stated by Riya, the Mumbai Police did not respond further.
Riya did not reveal the exact location where the incident occurred in her post.
