Ahead of the 4th T20I against England in Pune, Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav had a sweet moment with a young fan while signing an autograph and taking photos. The young fan put his request for a century while speaking in Marathi. He said “Surya dada pudhchya match la century nakki.”(Surya dada, please score a century in the next match.) So far, Suryakumar has struggled with just 26 runs in three games, making fans eager for him to play a big knock.
Further in the video, India’s assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar, spoke about the team’s aggressive approach, hoping the batters would fire and make it an easy win. However, he acknowledged that facing England would always be a challenge.
“Just hoping that our batters can come out all guns blazing, get those runs on board and we can skittle them out for a low score, so a very greedy Abhishek Nayar who wants us to win this game easy breezy but with a top England side you always expect a tough fight.”
India eyeing to seal series
England currently leads the series 2-1 after winning the third T20I in Rajkot by 26 runs. They posted 171/9, with Ben Duckett’s quickfire 51 and a late push from Liam Livingstone.
India’s Varun Chakravarthy shone with a five-wicket haul, but the chase didn’t go as planned. India lost wickets regularly and could only manage 145/9. With the series on stake, India will aim to bounce back, while England will look to seal the series.
