In a significant move towards sustainable real estate, NAREDCO Maharashtra has joined hands with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) EDGE team to drive green building initiatives in 2025. Facilitated by NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen, this collaboration aims to unlock global financing opportunities while promoting environmentally responsible construction practices.

A Letter of Collaboration was signed by IFC representatives Diep Nguyen van-Houtte and Autif Sayyed, along with Ridham Gada, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen. Under this agreement, IFC EDGE will offer technical expertise, conduct knowledge sessions, and provide free training programs on green building standards. Additionally, developers with EDGE-certified projects will gain exposure at regional industry events.

NAREDCO Maharashtra, in turn, will integrate EDGE standards into local policies, advocate for sustainability incentives, and support green building awareness across its chapters. The initiative is expected to position Maharashtra as a leader in sustainable real estate development.

“This partnership with IFC is a game-changer for Maharashtra’s real estate sector,” said Prashant Sharma, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra. “With IFC’s expertise, we can drive meaningful change toward intelligent, eco-friendly cities," he added.

Echoing this vision, Gada emphasized the role of young leaders in shaping a sustainable future. “This collaboration will redefine how we build today and impact how we live tomorrow,” he said. By championing sustainability, NAREDCO Maharashtra and IFC aim to create smarter, low-carbon cities, ensuring a greener, more resilient future for the state.
