Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi reached Mhow-- Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birthplace, to attend 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Yatra' on Monday. The rally aims to protect constitution and democracy in India.

They paid tributes to Dr. BR Ambedkar-- known as the Father of Indian Constitution.

The Mhow administration has issued permission for the rally on the condition that the party leaders should refrain from giving political and anti-religious speeches. After objection by the Congress leaders a revised permission letter was issued by the administration, allowing political speech.

No farmer or labourer was invited to the Ayodhya ceremony.

Addressing a huge crowd, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of not inviting Tribal President Droupadi Murmu to the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir held on January 24, 2024. He said no farmers, labourers, or people from SC/ST were invited here.

He hit out at mediapersons, accusing them of being BJP's spokespersons. "Ye media Adani-Ambani ki shadi dikhati hai, sahi mudde jaise kisan, Afghanistan nahi dikhati." (Media is busy showing the Adani-Ambani wedding, distracting the public from the real issues."

The Rae Bareli MP continued his scathing attack on the BJP government, accusing them of caste-based discrimination. He claimed that the budget implementation team of 90 officers has only three IAS officers from the SC/ST and OBC groups, representing a whopping 50% of the population.

He further reiterated his promise of conducting a caste census in states where Congress forms the government, emphasising that the work is underway in Telangana and Karnataka.

RaGa thanks Congress workers

Gandhi also encouraged Congress workers to hold on their grounds and fight any attack by BJP using the power of Constitution. He further thanked the 'kayakartas' for the their dedication and serving the party and the country with utmost loyalty and detremination.
