The Warje branch of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society, renowned for its customer trust and transparent transactions in the cooperative sector, distributed micro loans to women in savings groups on Thursday, January 30.
Access to funds for small-scale industries has been crucial for women in savings groups. As part of this initiative, Lokmanya Society launched micro-lending schemes and various loan schemes aimed at empowering women in these groups. On this occasion, Sushil Jadhav, Head of the Pune Division of Lokmanya Society, presented cheques totaling over Rs. 15 lakh to more than 45 women from nine different savings groups.
The event was attended by Area Credit Manager Imran Jamadar, Warje Branch Manager Satish Govindpurkar, employees, customers, and members of the society.
Speaking at the event, Sushil Jadhav highlighted that Lokmanya Society has consistently provided various investment options and multi-purpose services. He emphasised the society's commitment to offering loans to the common people with minimal documentation, low processing costs, and timely disbursements.
"We are especially focused on supporting women from ordinary families, who are either in need of financial assistance or running successful ventures through women’s self-help groups. Our initiatives, including Lokkalp, aim to further support them," he said.
