Beijing: A Chinese crane company, Henan Mining Crane Co. Ltd, has made headlines with its unconventional and generous bonus scheme. The company laid out a staggering $11 million (approximately Rs 70 crore) in cash on a table, giving employees just 15 minutes to grab as much as they could.
The challenge was part of the company's year-end bonus distribution, and it's safe to say it was a unique and exciting experience for the employees. The event was captured on video and shared on Chinese social media platforms Douyin and Weibo, before spreading to other sites.

The footage shows employees scrambling to collect as much cash as possible within the time limit. One employee managed to gather an impressive 100,000 yuan (around Rs 12.07 lakh) in just 15 minutes.
The company's generosity has sparked a mixed reaction on social media. While some have praised the company's creative and generous approach to bonuses, others have criticized the method, calling it a "circus act".
This isn't the first time Henan Mining Crane Co. Ltd has made headlines for its ample rewards. In 2023, the company distributed a significant sum of money to its employees during its annual dinner.
