India will face off against England in a T20I at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune's Gahunje tomorrow (January 31). Ahead of the match, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police announced traffic changes around the stadium, which is located very close to the Pune-Mumbai Expressway.
As per the notification issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) of Pimpri-Chinchwad Bapu Bangar, vehicles with VVIP and VIP passes, as well as emergency service vehicles, will be allowed towards the stadium from the service road of the Pune-Mumbai Expressway on the side of the stadium.
Vehicles coming from Mumbai will have to take left from the Dehu Road exit of the expressway and use the service road next to Mamurdi village.
Vehicles heading to the expressway will have to take a U-turn at Mukai Chowk after Kivale Bridge and then use the service road along Symbiosis College.
Vehicles using the Old Pune-Mumbai highway will have to take a U-turn at Central Chowk and then via Sai Nagar Phata to reach the stadium. These vehicles have been prohibited from coming to the Mamurdi underpass via Somatne Phata.
Vehicles coming from Pune should come from the Pune-Bengaluru highway. After reaching Kiwale Bridge, these vehicles will take a left and then take the left side service road of the expressway to reach the stadium.
Vehicles coming from Nigdi can go towards Ravet Chowk, Bhondwe Chowk, and Mukai Chowk, and then take the left side service road of the expressway to reach the stadium.
Meanwhile, entry of heavy vehicles will be banned from 3pm till midnight on the following routes: the road between Mamurdi to Kanetkar Bungalow and Mamurdi to Gahunje, the route via Krushna Chowk to Mamurdi underpass, and from Old Pune-Mumbai Highway to MCA stadium.
