Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Jitu Patwari met with an accident on Thursday at the Indore-Bhopal Highway. The accident occurred on the Fanda Toll Plaza, when a speeding truck rammed into the back of the politician's vehicle.
Fortunately, Patwari and his team did not sustain any injuries.
In a post on X (twitter), Madhya Pradesh Congress' official handle wrote, "Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee has already requested the government for the security of the PCC Chief".
Further details about the driver and the cause remains undisclosed.
According to information, on Thursday morning, PCC Chief Jitu Patwari left for Indore from Bhopal in his white car. When Patwari and his team were approaching the Fanda toll plaza, a speeding truck rammed into the back of the vehicle. The impact was such that almost all of the back end of the vehicle got destroyed.
In the photos and video of the accident that surfaced on social media platforms, it is visible that the back end of the car has been smashed up, the tail lights are gone and the boot lid has been rammed into.
The State Congress Committee has requested an investigation into the matter and also have requested for a security detail for the opposition leader.

In the post on X, comments were filled with mixed reactions. While one user prayed for the well being and safety of the politician, other suspected foul play.
One such user wrote, 'There is a smell of conspiracy, the government wants to remove opposition from the state'. Other user wrote,' It is our fortune that Jitu Patwari is safe, god bless him'.
