Actress Mahira Sharma's mother has rubbished reports of the Bigg Boss 13 contestant's relationship with cricketer Mohammed Siraj. For the unawares, on Wednesday, it was reported that Mahira and Siraj are dating each other.

According to a report in Times Now, Mahira's mother, Saniya Sharma, said, "People say anything. Now that my daughter is a celebrity, people will link her name with anyone, so should we believe them?"

She also said that the news doing the rounds is 'completely false'.

Mahira and Siraj's dating rumours

Mahira and Siraj don't follow each other on social media. They sparked dating rumours in 2024 after Siraj allegedly liked Mahira's photo, which caught the public's attention. However, the like is currently not visible on Mahira's post.

Mahira was previously dating actor and her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Paras Chhabra. The couple, who was together for three years, called it quits in 2023.

Last year, Paras talked about his breakup with Mahira on his podcast. He blamed live-in relationship to be the real reason behind their breakup and said, "Main toh single hoon filhaal. Aap ke saamne he tha joh bhi tha relationship, joh shuru hua tha Bigg Boss mein. Ek joh tha joh continue hua 2-3 saal tak. Toh bus wohi live-in mein the hum, toh jaise maine kaha live-in ke zyaada tar relationship kharab he hote hain."

Mahira and Paras even unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted their photos together after their split.

In fact, in 2024, Mahira and Paras reunited at fellow contestant Arti Singh's sangeet ceremony in Mumbai but chose to ignore each other, further hinting at their strained equation.

Siraj quashed dating rumours with Zanai

A few days back, legendary singer Asha Bhosle's granddaughter Zanai Bhosle was all over the news after she posted a photo with Siraj. The photo sparked rumours of the two dating, however, both of them subtly cleared the air, addressing each other as 'bhai' and 'behna' in their latest posts.

Zanai took to her Instagram stories to share the same picture with Siraj, this time with the caption, "Mere pyaare bhai."

Siraj reshared the story on his Instagram handle and penned a cutesy note for his 'sister'. "Meri behna ke jaisi koi behna nahin. Bina iske kahin bhi mujhe rehna nahin. Jaise hai chaand sitaaron mein, meri behna hai ek hazaaron mein (sic)," he wrote, thus putting an end to the dating rumours.
