Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man returning from Mahakumbh fell from the moving train on the railway tracks near Sukhi Sewania on Tuesday night. The injured man called his kin and was taken to the hospital where he died during treatment.
According to reports, Chhola Mandir resident Kalla Banshkar (50) was a labourer. His son Ravi said that his father left for Mahakumbh in Prayagraj on Saturday. He took a bath at Sangam and stayed there for two days. Kalla Banshkar left Prayagraj for Bhopal on Tuesday early morning by train. He was sitting at the door of the train when he dozed off when the train was at Sukhi Sewania. He fell from the train and received injuries. However, he managed to call his son and asked for help.
The family members reached the railway track and admitted him to hospital where he died during treatment late Tuesday night. His body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
Man found murdered near drain in Govindpura
A 34-year-old man was murdered by unidentified assailants under Govindpura police station. The body of the man was found near a drain on Wednesday morning.
A case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons and further investigations are underway, police said. Area residents spotted the body covered with a sack lying close to a drain near Indra Nagar slums on Wednesday afternoon.
Locals identified the body as that of Faheem Khan (34) of Indra Nagar slum. Police teams accompanied by forensic team carried out investigation. The body has deep injury marks on the face. The police found a blood-stained stone on the spot, which was used for attacking the man.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Faheem , a native of Bihar lived with his wife and children. His wife left him a year ago as Faheem often used to assault her in an inebriated state. Moreover, Faheem often scuffled with locals. Govindpura police station incharge Awdhesh Singh Tomar said Faheem has two cases of crimes against women including one of rape registered against him.
