Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has again proved that he is always ready to take major decisions. By banning liquor in 17 religious states, Yadav has set the agenda for complete prohibition in the state.

If the reasons behind crime against women and children and domestic violence are analysed, it will be found that liquor consumption is somewhere at the root of all such troubles. Imposing a ban on sale of liquor in 17 religious towns, Yadav has given a big gift to devotees as well as to women.

The decision taken by Yadav has laid the foundation for reining in consumption of liquor in the state. Closing a single liquor shop would not have been easy, but by a single stroke, Yadav has shut 52 liquor outlets. It was not a mean achievement, because liquor barons are considered powerful.

Yadav has shown that he does not work under pressure. After taking over as Chief Minister, he has established himself as a man of action. Soon after becoming Chief Minister, Yadav decided to do away with BRTS, remove loudspeakers from places of worship, and to prohibit sale of meat in the open.

He also took four major decisions: foundation laying ceremony of the Ken-Betwa Link Project and Parvati-Kalisindh Link Project, closing check posts to stop corruption in the Transport Department, setting up Ratapani sanctuary and restarting government bus services. Every politician has some specialties for which the coming generations remember them. The specialty of Yadav is that he easily resolves complex issues and remains tension-free.
