Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): Two people lost their lives, and four others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two trucks in Shivpuri on Friday.
The accident occurred near Dehrada Sadak village on NH-46 in the Kolaras police station area of Shivpuri district.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation into the accident.
According to reports, a container truck carrying spare parts was traveling from Pune to Faridabad, while a truck loaded with green peas was headed from Shivpuri to Guna.
Near Dehrada Sadak village, the truck carrying peas lost control, climbed onto the divider, and crossed to the opposite lane, resulting in a head-on collision with the container truck.
The container had four passengers from Mewat: Savir, Hakku, Sarfaraz, and Warish. The truck carrying peas had two passengers whose identities are yet to be confirmed.
The injured were rushed to the district hospital by ambulance. Warish (35), a resident of Mewat, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. One unidentified passenger in the truck carrying peas also died.
The other three passengers in the container and one person in the truck were critically injured and are currently undergoing treatment.
The hospital outpost police have registered a case and are investigating the incident further.
