Defending Ranji champions Mumbai find themselves in deep trouble after losing 6 wickets inside 100 runs against Jammu & Kashmir on Day 2 of the Ranji Trophy Match. Despite strong start from openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma, Mumbai have lost wickets at regular intervals.

Mumbai skipper Ajinkya Rahane yet again failed to bail team out of trouble after being sent back to the pavilion for 16 runs by counterpart Paras Dogra witha breathtaking one-handed catch.

J&K pacer Umar Nazir bowled a fullish delivery outside off stump. Rahane while looking to drive played an uppish short between mid off and cover. However Dogra wgho was standing at mid off ran to his left and made a full stretch to catch the ball while in staying mid-air.

Mumbai on the verge of defeat against Jammu & Kashmir

The last time Jammu & Kashmir beat Mumbai was in 2014 and history is about to repeat itself as the defending champions find themselves sin deep waters in the second innings. At the time of writing Mumbai were struggling at 105/7 against Jammu & Kashmir with lead of just 19 runs.

Earlier Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma had given Mumbai a solid start with 54 runs stand for the opening wicket. Hardik Tamore flopped once again.However, once both the openers were dismissed Jammu & Kashmir bowlers ran through Mumbai's middle order with Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dube failing to make big runs.

For Jammu & Kashmir, Auqib Nabi picked up 3 wickets so far while fellow pacers Yudhvir Singh and Umar Nazir picked up two wicket apiece
