Mumbai: The civic-run Siddharth Nagar General Hospital in Goregaon West is set to provide 306 patient beds in a state-of-the-art 11-story building. The construction, covering an area of approximately 48,588 square meters, is already underway. The municipal commissioner Bhushan Gagrani visited the construction site of the hospital and took a review on Thursday.
The construction of the hospital building has been completed up to the fourth floor. Gagrani instructed the concerned officials to prioritise the swift completion of the remaining construction. To provide relief to the citizens, he instructed that medical services at the hospital be gradually started in phases till January 2026.
"Construction is underway for the hospital building, along with facilities like the mortuary, a building for resident doctors, and staff quarters. The process of obtaining various certificates related to the construction is also underway through the respective departments," said a civic official.
The project is planned to be completed in 36 months. The hospital will offer a range of services, including outpatient departments for various illnesses, a surgery department, and advanced diagnostic laboratories for medical tests. Additionally, the hospital will provide diagnostic and treatment facilities for various diseases under super-specialty services.
