Cricthon Academy set up a final clash with SJ Foundation in the Western Cricket Cup in Pune on Thursday. Cricthon Academy edged past Lions Cricket Club with a 15-run victory in a closely fought contest. Batting first, Cricthon Academy put up a solid score of 153 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Lions Cricket Club showed resilience in their chase but fell short, managing 138 runs for seven wickets in their 20 overs. The standout performance came from Praveen Ranjan, who smashed 60 runs off 42 balls, including eight fours and two sixes.

The second semi-final was a one-sided affair as SJ Foundation cruised to a 54-run victory over Royal Challengers. SJ Foundation set an imposing total of 182 runs, losing seven wickets in just 17.1 overs, thanks to a blazing knock by Pradeep Dasgude, who scored 49 runs off 31 balls with five fours and three sixes. Royal Challengers, despite their efforts, managed only 128 runs for eight wickets in their 20 overs, falling well short of the target.

Tushar Chaudhari claimed six wickets while conceding just 19 runs in four overs.

SK Sports Club cruised to a nine-wicket victory against NTPS Nashik. NTPS struggled to get going and were bowled out for just 68 runs in 11 overs. SK Sports Club wasted no time, chasing down the target in just six overs, losing only one wicket. The standout performer of the match was Shrikant Kasar, who picked up five wickets for 13 runs.

The Rising Star CA showcased their dominance with a massive 82-run victory against SGCA. In another high-scoring encounter, Evershine C.A defeated Mothe Baba by a commanding 79-run margin. Evershine C.A set an imposing target of 186 runs in their 20 overs. Alim Pathan starred with the bat, scoring an impressive 61 runs off 48 balls. Mothe Baba were bundled out for 107 runs in 17.3 overs.
