Singer Monali Thakur has slammed recent reports of her hospitalisation and urged people not to share false information about her. For those unversed, on Wednesday (January 22), it was reported that during her performance in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, Monali faced difficulty in breathing on stage and she was admitted to a private hospital.

However, taking to her Instagram story on Thursday, Monali said she has returned to Mumbai and assured her fans that she will be fine in no time.

"Dear media and everyone concerned for my health, I hope you're doing well. I'm writing this to request that no unverified news about my health be shared. I truly appreciate all the love and concern, but I want to make it clear that I am not dealing with any breathing issues and I was not admitted to any hospital. That's false information," she wrote.

Revealing what exactly happened when she was on stage, Monali added in her note, "I was feeling unwell recently due to not getting enough time to recover from a viral infection/flu causing it to relapse and cause a slightly severe sinus and migraine discomfort and pain in flights. That's all there is to it. I'm now back in Mumbai, getting treatment, resting, and recovering. I'll be absolutely fine in no time! Let's not make this bigger than it is, especially when there are much more important things to focus on."

A video circulating on social media shows Monali looking visibly distressed as security officials and her team escort her to her car.

A few weeks ago, Monali had made it to the headlines as she had stopped her concert in Varanasi abruptly due to mismanagement. She ended the show due to several issues, including an improper stage set up that she felt that might be a risk for an ankle injury.

The singer had also accused the concert organisers of poor infrastructural safety. Post that, the event organisers reportedly accused Monali's manager of sexually assaulting a team member under the influence of alcohol.

Later, taking to her official Instagram account, Monali revealed that the event organisers have issued an apology. She also thanked Uttar Pradesh Police for their intervention and for bringing the situation under control.
