Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Additional Chief Secretary (Home) SN Mishra is going to retire on January 31. Keeping this in mind, the government is searching for an officer for the Home Department. According to reports, the name of ACS (Higher Education) Anupam Rajan is on top among those who may be transferred to the Home Department.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Chief Secretary Anurag Jain have already discussed the officers’ transfer list. Both have also discussed the issue with ACS Rajesh Rajora. The government may put off issuing the list because of the Republic Day.
The name of chief electoral officer Sukhveer Singh is doing the rounds for PWD. Apart from that, the name of Principal Secretary (PS) Vivek Porwal is also being discussed. Similarly, the heads of many departments may also be changed.
Among the Principal Secretaries, like Navneet Kothari, DP Ahuja and E Ramesh, anyone may be appointed as Chief Electoral Officer. Another officer may be posted as commissioner of Urban Administration and Development Department in place of Bharat Yadav.
The names of managing director of the MP Road Development Corporation Avinash Lavania and commissioner of the Food and Civil Supplies Department Sibi Chakravarty are also being discussed for the post. There are talks about the transfer of PS Sheo Shekhar Shukla who is in the Tourism and Culture Department for a long time.
Shukla’s name is doing the rounds for the post of PS in CM’s Secretariat. Abhishek Singh, who is posted as secretary in the State Election Commission, may be sent to some other place. Singh has been elevated to the post of secretary.
Major changes ahead for field officers
There will be major changes among field officers. There are reports that a large number of collectors may be transferred. Sources said over a dozen collectors, and a few commissioners, might be shifted.
