After beating defending champions Modern English School, Chembur Dnyandeep Seva Mandal Primary and Secondary School registered another outright win in the Giles Shield Super League. Dnyandeep won by an innings and 33 runs against Swami Vivekanand International School (SVIS) at Jolly Gymkhana on Wednesday.

Starting the second day in a commanding position, SVIS suffered a major collapse and were all out for 176 in 46 overs. Harshit Bobade top scored with 92 which included 18 fours and one six. Off spinner Virat Yadav was the star with the ball, grabbing a brilliant seven wicket haul, (7-43) in 18 overs.

Following on, Swami Vivekanand batting during their second innings were all out for just 130 runs in 33.1 overs, thus handing their opposition a massive victory. Once again Off spinner Virat picked (6-30) in 14.1 overs. He finished with 13 wickets in all during the entire match, thus winning the man of the match award for his outstanding bowling.

Dnyandeep Seva Mandal had posted 339 in 65.4 overs on the first day courtesy a brilliant century by Anuj Chaudhary.

Shaurya Navale of RR Education Trust made 59 and bagged the Man of the Match award for his overall performance with bat and ball.

The match between Modern English School Chembur and RR Education Trust English High School at Bombay High Court, Oval Maidan ended in a draw. RR Education Trust took the first innings lead.

Resuming their batting on day 2, RR Education Trust finished with 233 in 92.5 overs after four early wickets fell on the previous day. Yash Sagvekar top scored with 60 while number eight batter, Shaurya Navale made 59 and bagged the Man of the Match award for his overall performance with bat and ball. Left arm spinner Nishad Parab took (4-53) in 25 overs. Batting during their second innings, Modern English finished off the day with 41-0 in 13 overs. Vedang Mishra made unbeaten 24.

In first essay, Modern English were 146 all out in 57.4 overs as Rajvardhan Jadhav top scored with 56. Left arm spinner Advait Joshi snapped up a four-wicket haul, (4-41) in 16.4 overs. Shaurya Navale and Medh Daiya also picked three wickets each.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya Vs VK Krishna Menon Academy at Karnataka Sporting, Cross Maidan

The match between Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya and VK Krishna Menon Academy at Karnataka Sporting, Cross Maidan also ended in a draw. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar took first innings lead. VK Krishna Menon were bundled out for a paltry 34 in 31.5 overs. Off spinner Aayush Chavan picked a five-wicket haul, (5-10) in 16 overs. During their second innings, the Dr. Babasaheb unit finished the day with 69-5 in 21 overs.

On the previous day, batting first, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar made 229 in 68.1 overs. Left-handed batter Sanmit Kothmire made 87 while number six batter, Advit Tiwari also contributed with 87 runs. Medium pacer Arin Keluskar snapped an eight-wicket haul, (8-35) in 20.1 overs.
