Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who recently sustained a serious leg injury during a gym session, was seen in a wheelchair at Hyderabad airport. Despite her injury, she traveled to Mumbai to attend the trailer launch of her much-awaited film Chhaava with Vicky Kaushal. Despite the injury, Rashmika remained committed to fulfilling her work commitments.
On Wednesday morning, a video from Hyderabad airport surfaced in which Rashmika is seen stepping out of her car and entering the airport premises in a wheelchair.
Even at Mumbai airport, Rashmika also chose a wheelchair to exit. Dressed in jeans, a pink sweatshirt, and a black face mask, she waved at the paparazzi before getting into her car.
Soon after Rashmika's videos surfaced, fans wished her a speedy recovery.
On January 12, Rashmika took to her social media to finally break silence on the injury and she also apologised to the makers of her films for causing a delay.
She shared some photos of herself with her injured leg, and thanked fans for their concern. "Well… happy New Year to me I guess! Injured myself in my sacred gym shrine...Now I’m in 'hop mode' for the next few weeks or months or god only knows, so seems like I’ll be hopping my way back to sets for Thama, Sikandar, and Kubera! (sic)," she wrote.
The actress added, "To my directors sorry for the delay…I’ll be back soon enough just making sure my legs are fit for action (or at least fit for hopping). In the meantime if you need me…I’ll be the one in the corner doing a highly advanced bunny hop workout. HOP HOP HOP…(sic)."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rashmika will be next seen in Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. She will play the role of Maharani Yesubai. The trailer of the film will be unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai on January 22.
Rashmika will also be seen in Salman Khan's Sikandar, which is set to release this year on the occasion of Eid. The film marks the actress' first collaboration with the superstar.
Rashmika is also busy with the shoot of Thama, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. The film, which is a part of Maddock's horror comedy universe, is set to show Ayushmann as a heartbroken vampire.
In Kubera, Rashmika will share the screen with Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh and others. While the film was initially supposed to release in December 2024, it has now been pushed to new date that is yet to be announced.
