Purple Solvathon aims to bring young innovators together to design real-world solutions for accessibility and inclusion. The event aligns with the broader mission of Purple Jallosh, which celebrates accessibility and empowers the PwD community.
With the theme “Innovate for Inclusion – Empowering Accessibility Through Young Minds,” Purple Solvathon 2025 will see participation from architecture, engineering and technology students who will collaborate to develop impactful solutions for challenges such as barrier-free public spaces, assistive devices and inclusive design.
For three days, participants will engage in brainstorming sessions, prototype refinement and final presentations. Day 1 will focus on ideation and mentorship. Day 2 will see the development of prototypes, and Day 3 will culminate in a public showcase where groundbreaking innovations will be unveiled.
Speaking about the event, PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, "The response to Purple Solvathon 2025 reflects the growing awareness and commitment towards creating an inclusive society. This initiative is a platform where young minds come together to innovate for change. By building solutions, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)."
Purple Solvathon 2025 will feature a stellar lineup of mentors and a distinguished jury comprising experts from various fields to guide and evaluate the participants. The event is open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to witness innovation in action and engage with transformative solutions.
The event is organised by the PCMC Divyang Bhavan Foundation, in collaboration with Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture, Pune, and The Good Talk Factory.
