Three passengers of the luxury bus were killed and 14 another people were injured after three vehicles, including a luxury bus, a container, and a tempo, collided in the early morning of Wednesday at Shahapur village, 30 kilometers away from Bhiwandi city. 

About The Accident

The incident took place on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway near Gotheghar village, located in Shahapur, at 4:30 AM on Wednesday. A tempo van that was heading towards Nashik from Mumbai lost control and crashed into the divider and reached opposite route. Meanwhile, a heavy container traveling towards Mumbai from Nashik saw that the tempo was speeding in the opposite direction after breaking road divider.

The driver of the container promptly applied emergency brakes and turned left, resulting in a luxury bus being badly dashed. Following the accident, three passengers seated in the rear of the bus sustained injuries and died. Meanwhile, fourteen people, including the driver and other passengers, suffered injuries. They were all taken to the primary healthcare center in Shahapur, where treatment is ongoing.

Bystanders and passersby alerted the local police about the accident. The police rushed to the spot, and the injured were taken to a primary health center in Shahapur, where three individuals were declared dead on arrival, while the rest of the people are being treated in the hospital.
