Oreo rescued, reunited with Los Angeles man

A poster of Oreo went viral on social media. It mentioned the dog to have gone missing. It asked people to inform Casey if they spotted Oreo around them.

The search for Oreo reportedly started on January 7 and concluded on Sunday on a positive note. Casey met his dog days and nights after it survived under the rubble with the hoping to meet the dog lover sooner.

Video of reunion goes viral

NBC News correspondent Liz Kreutz shared a video of the emotional reunion of the Los Angeles man and the doggo. The heartwarming footage recorded the moment when Casey finally saw his dog again after it went missing amid the wildfire.

It was learned Casey had another dog too, named Tika Tika Tika. Liz saw him searching for both of his dogs after the disaster took place.

"Oh my God! You’re alive!"

The video shared by the journalist showed the man happily hugging Oreo and shedding tears of joy to see it survive the wildfire. "Had that firefighter not offered to go get the dogs, both of them would have been trapped inside when the flames came", he told Liz.

The now-viral footage captures Casey and Oreo running towards each other after spending five nights apart. It shows him affectionately grabbing Oreo in his arms and lifting the dog in the air. The heartwarming visuals also show him dancing after seeing his rescue dog alive. "Oh my God! You’re alive!", he was heard saying in the footage.
