The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that thick to extremely thick fog will persist overnight and in the early morning in several regions of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and in scattered areas of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for the following two days.
Isolated areas of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and certain regions of Northeast India are also forecasted to experience dense fog tomorrow. The IMD predicts light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning in scattered areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and the Mahe region for tomorrow. The lowest temperatures in Northwest, Central, and East India are anticipated to decrease steadily by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the coming 48 hours.
