Jalgaon: Stones were reportedly pelted at the Tapti Ganga Express train near Maharashtra’s Jalgaon station on Sunday. Notably, the train was heading to Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj carrying devotees for the Maha Kumbh 2025. Several videos of the alleged incident also surfaced online.
A windowpane of one of the coaches was reportedly damaged. No injuries were reported in the stone pelting incident. An FIR has been registered by the railway police in connection with the matter. The train was heading to Chhapara from Surat.

In videos surfaced on social media, passengers onboard the train reported stone pelting.
“The stone was hurled at the train two to three kilometres after it had left the Jalgaon station, as per the passengers who were going to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela," the police said as reported by CNN-News18.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter. No arrests have been made so far.
