Badnawar (Madhya Pradesh): Statues of Maharana Pratap, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and renowned journalist Rajendra Mathur were unveiled in a grand ceremony in Badnawar.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Rajya Sabha member Kavita Patidar and former minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon. Organised by the Municipal Council, the ceremony featured notable figures such as state cricket association president Abhilash Khandekar and Jaideep Karnik, state president of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
Other attendees included former ministers Ranjana Baghel and Chhatar Singh Darbar, along with various local leaders and journalists. During the event, MP Kavita Patidar emphasised the significance of the statues as symbols of national upliftment, while Jhalawar Kanwar highlighted Maharana Pratap's legacy of social harmony.
Minister Tomar noted the developmental strides in Badnawar, attributing them to the efforts of Dattigaon. The ceremony commenced at Badi Chowpatty with the unveiling of Maharana Pratap's statue, followed by the unveiling of Sardar Patel's and Mathur's statues at the bus stand.
The Karni Sena also distributed 100 swords to promote protection of Sanatan Dharma. The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from Santosh Chauhan.
