The 90-hour workweek and working on Sundays debate started by L&T's SN is only heating up further, with many more joining the ranks to express their thoughts and opinions in the matter.
Adar Poonawalla Takes A Dig
Interestingly, this time, it is not just common netizens but also fellow industrialists and company executives who have joined the conversation.
The most recent of all came from Serum Institute India chief and Cyrus Poonawalla Group scion, Adar Poonawalla, who has taken it to X to give a witty opinion on the matter.
Giving a spin to a response to another industrialist, Mahindra Group's Anand Mahindra, Adar Poonawalla said, "Yes @anandmahindra, even my wife @NPoonawalla thinks i am wonderful, she loves staring at me on Sundays. Quality of work over quantity always. #worklifebalance"
In this post, he tagged his spouses Natasha Poonawalla and Anand Mahindra as well. He shared this post with his own photograph attached to it.
This comes just hours after a video of Anand Mahindra sharing his thoughts on the matter emerged. While speaking at an event the Mahindra group head said, “I often get asked how much time I have to spend on social media. I want to tell people that I am on X or social media not because I am lonely," he said. “My wife is wonderful, I love staring at her.
Mahindra, while conveying due regard to Narayan Murthy and L&T chairman S. N. Subrahmanyan, said that the debate is going in the wrong direction. Mahindra laid emphasis on the quality of the work rather than the quantity of work, in terms of the number of hours spent.
He also laid emphasis on making holistic decision-making, which according to him, can only be made possible with an approach that encompasses all views and idea and its not curtailed to the confines of the office.
