Mumbai: A technical issue with the Overhead Equipment (OHE) wire between Gholvad and Dahanu Road on the up line disrupted train services early this morning. The issue, which held up movement from 06:38 am, led to delays of up to two hours for several trains, including the prestigious 12952 New Delhi - Mumbai Central Rajdhani Express and the 12954 Hazrat Nizamuddin - Mumbai Central August Kranti Tejas Rajdhani Express.

"Some other mail and express trains were also delayed due to the technical fault" said an official. According to an official, by 8:40 am, the issue was resolved, and services returned to normal.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Divisional Railway Manager of Western Railway Mumbai Central Division expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and confirmed that all mail and express trains arriving in Mumbai were running behind schedule.

“Due to technical issues, all mail and express trains arriving in Mumbai (WR) are running behind schedule. The inconvenience caused is regretted,” the post read.

Passengers, however, reported that several local trains were also delayed during the morning hours on the Western Line due to the disruption. While the problem affected the punctuality of trains, the official clarified that by 8:40 am, services back to normalcy.
