Actor-comedian Haarsh Limbachiyaa in his new video revealed that he once got to meet ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali many years ago, and he narrated the script of a "double meaning sex comedy" to him. He said that the script actually landed him a job with the filmmaker but he ran away from the sets after he saw Bhansali abusing an assistant.
Haarsh narrated the incident on his YouTube channel and stated that it happened around the time Bhansali was shooting for the film, Goliyon Ke Raasleela Ram-Leela. "I met Bhansali many years ago and I narrated a double meaning sex comedy script to him. I don’t know why but I narrated it to him and he laughed so much. He said, ‘Haarsh, I can’t produce this but this is very good. You should come and assist me, I see something in you’," Haarsh shared.
He revealed that he went "bonkers" after the compliment from Bhansali and he left the TV show Comedy Circus to join the sets of Ram-Leela. "For the first time, I saw Bhansali’s set. He had some 12-13 assistants," he recalled.
It was then that Haarsh saw the filmmaker abuse someone and ran away from the sets. "After I returned, the person who introduced us, Bhansali abused him a lot. ‘See that boy ran away’. I said I can’t be in a place where people abuse me. I got out right then," he shared.
For those unversed, Haarsh has written the dialogues of Vivek Oberoi-starrer film, PM Narendra Modi. He has also penned the lyrics for the 2020 film Malang, and has a cameo in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Besides, he has worked as the writer for scores of comedy shows on television, including Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights Live, Hum Tum Aur Quarantine, Khatra Khatra Khatra, among others.
