Educational institutions need to adopt an interdisciplinary approach, embrace sustainable innovation, and integrate cutting-edge technologies like blockchain, IoT and robotics. This will help create long-term value and drive transformational changes for a sustainable future. Dr SG Deshmukh emphasised the importance of sustainable development goals as well as collaborative research and teaching.
An international conference on the topic “Engineering Innovation for a Sustainable Future” was organised by KK College of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik, recently. Dr SG Deshmukh of IIT Delhi inaugurated the conference and delivered the keynote address.
Present at the event were Katharina Caulking, General Manager of EPROC Pvt. Ltd; Chairman of the organisation, Sameer Balasaheb Wagh; Trustee Ashok Merchant; Secretary Prof KS Bandi; Principal Prof Dr KN Nandurkar; as well as principals, heads of departments, and staff of various institutions.
During the conference, 100 research papers were presented by researchers, academicians, and industry professionals across nine parallel sessions. Topics included solutions in sustainable engineering, opportunities for innovative use of artificial intelligence and IoT systems in agriculture and innovations in energy.
