Nitish Kumar Reddy (85*) and Washington Sundar (40*) have managed to hold the fort as Team India headed for tea on day 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, India still trail by 148 runs as drizzle forced players to take early tea.

Australia made further incisions on day three of the fourth Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) by dismissing Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant, thereby strengthening their position further. At lunch, India went with seven down, but Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar have consolidated quite well.
