Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The unaccounted wealth earned by former constable of transport department Saurabh Sharma has left everyone stunned. At the same time, many government officials are surprised about how Sharma managed to get voluntary retirement from the service (voluntary retirement scheme) within eight years of service.

Lokayukta police had carried out initial raid at the residence of Saurabh Sharma on December 19 and unearthed his ill gotten properties. Sharma brought benami properties in the name of his mother, wife, sister-in-law and close associates including Chetan Singh, Sharad Jaiswal.
As a result, income tax department is looking forward to getting information from Lokayukta police so that it can take action in benami property cases. Notably, Chetan Singh had recently recorded his statement at I-T department about abandoned vehicle from which 52 kg gold and Rs 11 crore in his name.
