Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Special police establishment (SPE) Lokayukta police Gwalior and Sagar have trapped two government employees red handed for taking bribe, officials said here on Friday.
SP Lokayukta Gwalior Rajesh Mishra informed that the complainant Rajendra Kushwah, resident of Lashkar Gwalior, is having a house on his wife’s name. His wife Munni Devi had died recently and mutation was needed on his name.
In his complaint, he stated that Saurabh Tiwari, an employee of Gwalior Municipal Corporation is demanding bribe of Rs 15k to mutate the document. Bribe was demanded through office peon Akash Kushwah. The matter was verified and a trap team led by DSP Vinod Kushwah was formed.
On Friday, when the complainant contacted to handover the amount, Tomar asked to handover the amount of Rs 8k to Aksah. Akash called the complainant at hawkers’ zone to give the money and as soon as the amount of Rs 8k was handed to Akash, the trap team caught him red handed.
Police have made both of them accused in the case. In Damoh, the auditor of the cooperative department was caught red handed for taking bribe of Rs 15k. Sagar Lokayukta police got a complaint from cooperative committee manager of Khiria Madla district Damoh, Jeevan Lal Patel in which it was stated that auditor Ramesh Prasad Kori was demanding bribe of Rs 15k.
The auditor was demanding bribe of Rs 20k on behalf of issuing no objection certificate on the works done by the manager. After verification of the complaint, a trap team led by DSP BM Dewedi and other ranks was formed to trap the auditor. As soon as the money was handed to the auditor at the office of the assistant commissioner cooperatives district Damoh, the trap team caught him red handed.
