X user claims Indian family spoke loudly on Finland train

We might have ourselves come across people speaking loudly on their phones. There are also signboards at certain public spaces, including BEST buses, which urge people to converse softly.

When an Indian man in Finland came across people speaking loudly in Hindi in the foreign country, he wasn't okay with it. He condemned the incident and asked whether such people lack civic sense.

"I'm on a train from Lapland to Helsinki and there's one family in the otherwise ULTRA QUIET carriage that's being very loud, talking to someone over a video call. In Hindi. With their cabin doors open. We REALLY don't get civic sense, do we?", read Gokul's X post.

"Ironically the video I was watching just now (during the ride) was about how speaking on the phone is very frowned upon in the Tokyo metro because it's poor manners", he added.

The post surfaced online on December 24 and it has already gone viral on the social media platform. It attracted many reactions after more than 28,000 users viewed the post.

"I guess they are tourists and very excited, so calling back home and sharing their experience. Best thing to do is to politely tell them about it as they might not be aware at all", one wrote. Another seconded that he could have approached the family and requested them to speak in a lower voice, and wrote, "Easier to stop by and request them to close the door and lower their voice?".
