The much-awaited expansion of the cabinet and distribution of the ministry was done on Saturday. Now, the post of district guardian minister remains the bone of contention between BJP and Shiv Sena. The aspiring ministers are trying hard to win the race to gain the post.
It was expected that the Nanded district would get a post of minister in the Mahayuti government. However, no minister was made from Nanded. There has been resentment over it in the district for the past two days. Now, regarding the post of guardian minister, there is a race between BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP.
The Mahayuti candidates were victorious in all the nine assembly constituencies in Nanded district, which included BJP’s five, Shiv Sena’s three and one of NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). As all the seats were won by the Mahayuti, it was expected that Nanded district would be represented in the state cabinet, but no MLA from Nanded was included in the cabinet.
Earlier, BJP’s Girish Mahajan, Shiv Sena’s Sabir Shaikh, Divakar Rawate, Ramdas Kadam, Congress party’s Manikrao Thakare, Subhash Zanad, Raviseth Patil and others have shouldered the responsibilities as the guardian minister of Nanded.
Now, the debate over the guardian minister is heated. The names of Mahajan, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Atul Save, Pankaja Munde, Meghna Bordikar, Sanjay Rathod, Dhanjay Munde, Babasaheb Patil, Indraneel Naik and others are on the fore. Everyone is curious to know who will win the battle.
