Comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui took a veiled dig at Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, after AP Dhillon attended Karan Aujla’s concert in Mumbai on Sunday. It came a day after Diljit and Dhillon got into an online feud with the latter accusing the former of blocking him on social media.
Munawar, who attended Aujla’s concert in the city, took to his Instagram in the wee hours of Monday and shared a photo of the Tauba Tauba alongside AP Dhillon on the stage. Along with that, the comedian wrote, “Ab Karan Aujla block!”, clearly hinting at the Diljit controversy.
For those unversed, Dhillon accused Diljit of using his name as a marketing gimmick after the latter gave him a shoutout during one of his concerts. Not just that, but he also accused Diljit of blocking him on Instagram.
In response, Diljit took to his Instagram stories, and sharing a screenshot of Dhillon’s profile, wrote, “I never blocked you... I might have issues with the government, but not with artists.”
But the Brown Munde singer was in no mood to let it slide, and he went on to share ‘proof’ that Diljit had indeed blocked him on Instagram, but unblocked him later.
While Diljit seems to have decided to remain silent, Dhillon made a bold statement on Sunday at Aujla’s concert. “A narrative is being pushed that these guys don't like each other, they don't get along... But I'm gonna tell you one thing, this social media is all corrupt. This is a narrative that people push. We f**king love each other,” he said.
He went on to say, "I want to tell you one thing. Music is not a f**king sport. There is no winner or loser in this game. All it matters is who f**king keeps it real."
Fans are now waiting to see if Diljit would respond to the singer's jibes or if they would end up calling truce.
