Mumbai: An incident of stone-pelting took place at South Indian star Allu Arjun's residence in Hyderabad. There are reports that stones were pelted by the Joint Action Committee of Osmania University members (OU-JAC) at Allu Arjun's house which is located at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. A video of the incident surfaced in the internet and it can be seen in the video that few youths are throwing stones at the house of the actor.
The Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) has blamed the Congress Government in Telangana which is led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for the incident. BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya shared a post on his social media account on Sunday claiming that the attack was state-sponsored terrorism.
Amit Malviya tweeted, "Stone pelted on National Award winning actor Allu Arjun’s house. This is state sponsored terrorism. The Congress is targeting Allu Arjun because he refused to campaign for them. He was earlier arrested in haste for a crime he didn’t commit. Mohabbat ki dukaan mein nafrat ka samaan bik raha hai. (Hatred Is Being Sold in the shop of love)"
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday (December 21) raised the issue of the stampede caused during the screening of Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa 2' movie at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy blamed Allu Arjun for the death of a woman in the stampede at the theatre on December 4.
He said that Allu Arjun visited the theatre for the screening even after the police denied permission. The police claimed that it will be difficult to manage the crowd in the area if the actor visited the theatre for the screening of the movie.
He also said that Allu Arjun while entering and exiting the theatre waved at the crowd from the sunroof of his car. He also claimed that the actor refused to leave the theatre even after he was informed about the stampede and that a 35-year-old woman and her eight-year-son have suffered serious injuries in the stampede.
The woman succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital. Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday (December 13) in connection with the matter, however, the actor got bail immediately after being arrested.
A group of members from the Osmania University reportedly created chaos outside the house of the actor on Sunday evening. They were caught on camera throwing tomatoes and stones at the house of the actor. There are reports that the flower pots were damaged inside the actor's residence due to the stone-pelting incident.
