Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): In an audacious move, two notorious criminals accused of attempted murder, challenged Jabalpur police on social media with a post captioned as "Catch us if you can!" 

However, the two were arrested from Madhya Pradesh’s Katni after being at par for over 15 days, confirmed the police on Sunday.

According to information, the two criminals were identified as Ayush Jain and Sachin Jharia. The two allegedly had attacked a dairy businessman Anshul Patel with a knife, leaving him severely injured. 

The incident took place about 15 days ago. Since then, both suspects were absconding and evading all efforts of police to capture them.

Accused runs criminal gang called ‘6161’

Recently, the duo posted their challenge on social media with a caption, “Pakad sako to pakad lo, Ayush Jain Lucky sheher mein bolte 6161….(Catch us if you can Ayush Jain Lucky says 6161 rules the city”. 

The post triggered swift action by the police, who tracked them down to Katni and successfully arrested them.

Ayush Jain is known to run a gang called "6161" and has multiple criminal cases registered against him, along with his accomplice Sachin Jharia.

The operation was led by Madan Mahal Police Station in-charge Praveen Dhurve, who confirmed their arrest. Further action would be taken on the basis of the findings of the investigation.
