The PCS exam will be administered by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Sunday, December 22. The morning and evening sessions will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 am and 2:30 to 4:30 pm, respectively.

Candidates should keep in mind to carry their admit card as well as two passport size photographs and photo ID card on the day of the exam for verification purposes.

Exam pattern

The Prelims Exam and the Mains Exam are the two sections of the UPPSC exam syllabus. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission administers the UPPSC Prelims Exam in two shifts, each of which covers a different syllabus. The General Studies (GS) exam is taken during the first shift, and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) paper is conducted during the second shift.

Prohibited items in exam hall

For the UPPSC PCS exam 2024, there are certain items that are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Here's a list of what you should avoid carrying:

- Any electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic gadgets are not allowed.

- Candidates are usually not allowed to carry bags, backpacks, purses, or any other type of luggage into the exam centre.

- Books, notes, study guides, or any kind of study material are not permitted inside the exam hall.

- Apart from the black ballpoint pen and normal pencils, any other stationery items like scale rulers, compasses, sharpeners, etc., are generally not allowed.

- Candidates are usually not allowed to bring any food items or snacks into the exam hall.

- Excessive jewellery or accessories might be disallowed, so it's advisable to keep accessories minimal.

- Digital watches, watches with calculators, or any other watches with additional features are not permitted.
