The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has announced the postponement of the 2025 Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) exams due to the upcoming state elections.

The Meghalaya state government has confirmed that elections for the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) will be held on February 21, with vote counting set to begin on February 24.

As per the original schedule, the Class 10 SSLC exams were supposed to begin on February 10, and the Class 12 HSSLC exams were scheduled to start on February 18. However, due to the elections, the dates for more than four subjects have been revised.

Revised MBOSE Exam Dates 2025:

Physics, sociology, and vocational courses for the Class 12 board exams will henceforth be held in March rather than February. The Meghalaya Board Class 12 Physics exam will be conducted on March 6, Sociology on March 18, and Vocational courses on March 19. Poultry farming and computer skills are among the occupational disciplines offered.

These changes have been made to accommodate the election schedule and ensure the smooth conduct of both the exams and the electoral process.
