The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 information brochure has been made available by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur. According to the announcement, registration will open at 10 a.m. on April 23. Applications must be submitted by May 2, 2024. The JEE Advanced registration form can be completed by qualified applicants via the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

The deadline for candidates to pay the fee is May 5, 2025.
According to the bulletin, the admit cards will be made available on May 11, 2025.

Official Notice

The official notice stated, “The JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be conducted on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The examination will consist of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Appearing in both the papers is compulsory.”


The official notice goes on to say that the end time for Paper 1 will be 13:00 IST, and for Paper 2, it will be 18:30 IST. PwD candidates who have disabilities with at least 40% impairment, if applicable, are eligible for one hour of compensatory time for each paper. To use the compensatory time and/or a scribe's (amanuensis) services, they must, however, complete the necessary form (see Annexure-II: CERTIFICATE FORMATS) at the time of registration.

Eligibility criteria

Firstly, they must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates in the JEE Main 2025 B.E/B.Tech paper, with category-wise distribution of seats.

In terms of age, candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, with a five-year relaxation for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, who should have been born on or after October 1, 1995.

The number of attempts is also limited, with candidates allowed a maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years. Additionally, candidates should have appeared for their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2024 or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

Finally, candidates who have been admitted to an IIT under any academic program in the past are not eligible for admission to an IIT, regardless of whether they continued in the program or accepted an IIT seat.
