The Delhi Police on Friday transferred the case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly pushing and injuring BIP MPs during a scuffle on the Parliament premises to the Crime Branch. However, no FIR has been registered based on the complaint filed by Congress that BJP MPs had pushed its chief Mallikarjun Kharge and “physically manhandled” the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, In a related development, the National Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of BJP MP Phangnon Konyak's ‘misconduct” charge against Gandhi.

Konyak has alleged that Gandhi stood too close to her, making her feel uncomfortable. Two BIP MPs were hospitalised on Thursday after NDA and INDIA bloc MPs jostled to enter the house during their competing protests over "insults to BR Ambedkar”, The police have intensified their investigation by preparing to record statements of the injured BJIP MPs, collect their medical reports; and question Gandhi along with other lawmakers who witnessed the incident.

The unfolding drama marks one of the most contentious episodes in recent parliamentary history. Sources revealed that Delhi Police have also requested access to CCTV footage from the Parliament Secretariat to scrutinize the events leading to the altercation. The two injured BJF MPs continue to recover at Ram Manchar Lohia Hospital.

Dr. Ajay Shukla, the hospitals medical superintendent, Teported on Friday that both MPs were In stable condition but remained under observation in the 1CUL. “Mukesh Rajput is experiencing mild giddiness and head heaviness, while Pratap Sarangis pre-existing heart condition requires close monitoring. Both MPs' bloed pressure levels are now stable. Further decisions on their treatment will be taken by the medical team,” Dr. Shukla explained Sarangi reportedly suffered a deep cut on his forehead requiring stitches, while Rajpul’s head injury caused him to momentarily lose consciousness. However, MRI and CT scans revealed no significant internal damage, oftering a measure of relief amid the turmoil
