Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief minister Mohan Yadav said brainstorming at the Civil Service Meet would be helpful in building a new Madhya Pradesh of the new era.

“The long experiences of administrative officials should be shared,” Yadav said in his address after inaugurating the Civil Service Meet-2024 organised by Madhya Pradesh IAS Officers Association at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration on Friday.

The IAS officials play an important role in creating a unique image of a vast and diverse country like India in the world. “Today, India has a distinct identity and the country is viewed with respect. The nature of the Indian Administrative Service is different from the other services,” Yadav added.

He said one should utilise one’s fame in public interest. “Indian Administrative Service officials are capable of bringing positive changes in the lives of people and bringing order to the systems. Such initiatives taken at the individual level provide happiness and satisfaction,” he stated.

The chief minister further said legislature, judiciary and executive had different responsibilities in running the system. All these institutions have contributed at their respective levels to maintaining democracy. He said making a decision or giving an idea was easy but its implementation on a larger scale was challenging.

The efficiency of Indian Administrative Service officials in implementing decisions is praiseworthy. “Indian systems are setting examples as the world’s largest democracy in the world in which the contribution of IAS officials is important,” he added.
