Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has been awarded the prestigious BML Munjal Award for its Excellence in Business through Learning and Development. HPCL has won the award in the Sustained Excellence category.

Director - Finance & Additional Charge of Chairman & Managing Director, HPCL, Rajneesh Narang along with Director – Marketing, HPCL, Amit Garg, Director- Human Resources K S Shetty received the award from Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, and Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman Hero Enterprise in the presence of Senior Officials from HPCL at a glittering ceremony at New Delhi. The Guest of Honour at the event was Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa and former CEO of Niti Ayog.

The BML Munjal Awards annually celebrate excellence in Learning and Development (L&D) and are a tribute to the enduring legacy of the late Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, founder of the Hero Group. They recognize organizations that invest in people and reward companies that believe in continuous improvement and innovation.

For the 2024 edition, hundreds of organizations across sectors went through a rigorous four-stage screening process managed by Grant Thornton Bharat which included site visit, jury presentation, site visit and panel evaluation.

The winners were picked by an independent jury comprising of Gopal Srinivasan, Chairman & Managing Director, TVS Capital Funds, Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise, Rajat Dhawan, India Managing Partner & Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company, Sanjay Nayar, Founder and Chairman, Sorin Investment Fund, Vishesh Chandiok, CEO, Grant Thornton Bharat, Padmaja Ruparel, Co-Founder, Indian Angel Network, Simrit Kaur, Principal, Ram College of Commerce and Rajeev Dubey, Editor In Chief, Fortune India.
