Priyanka Gandhi, one of the newest members of the Lok Sabha, made headlines this week for her choice of tote bags. On Monday, she attended the Lok Sabha carrying a bag with "Palestine" written on it, drawing criticism from BJP leaders. The following day, she appeared with another bag, this time highlighting the plight of minority communities in Bangladesh.

Days after the incident, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi gifted Priyanka Gandhi a bag with "1984" written on it on Friday. A video of the exchange has since surfaced online.

In the footage, Priyanka Gandhi is seen accepting the bag with a smile on her face.

Earlier today, Priyanka Gandhi defended her brother Rahul Gandhi regarding the FIR filed against him by the BJP after two BJP MPs were allegedly injured during a protest involving both NDA and INDIA MPs over Ambedkar.

"This is a symbol of the government's desperation. It is a false FIR. Rahul Gandhi cannot push anyone—I am his sister, I know this. Frankly, the country knows this too. The country is watching how desperate they have become because they don't want a discussion on Adani. The country will not tolerate the insult of Ambedkar ji," she said.
