Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh): The city police on Friday claimed to have arrested three people, including a woman and two minors, for murdering her husband.

According to reports, the police got a tip-off that some people killed a man and tied his wife to a rope in Matihawa Ghati area near Naikhawa main road on Wednesday night and looted ornaments and mobile phones from them.

On getting information, a police team rushed to the spot, where the wife of the man and others were present. When the police questioned the wife of the diseased about the incident, her replies evoked suspicions.   The police then quizzed the family members of the man, who said his wife had an extramarital relation with another person, which caused family discord.

The police again questioned the woman who said she was married in July this year with Bindu aka Chetman against her wishes. Although she married Bindu under pressure from her parents, she used to talk to her lover Anuj Sahu. She and her lover hatched a conspiracy to dispose of Bindu.

According to the plan, she told her husband to take her to her parents’ house. Bindu dropped her there on December 14. The plan was to murder Anuj on that day, but it was not successful. Then she told her husband to take her back from her parents’ house on Tuesday night.

When they were returning, Anuj and her two friends, both minors, stopped their vehicle. The woman went to a nearby forest on the pretext of relieving herself. Meanwhile, Anuj and his friends murdered Bindu. She then gave her mobile phone and silver ornaments to Anju to tell the police that it was a murder for loot.

The police also recovered the rods and other equipment used to murder Bindu. Superintendent of police Manish Khatri said some people had murdered a man and tied his wife to a rope for looting them.   During the inquiry it came to light that it was a love triangle, he said.
