Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man was arrested for hiding a mobile phone inside the changing room of a diagnostic centre and secretly recording women‘s videos in Bhopal’s Arera Hills area on Thursday.
The accused is a staff member of an MRI center and medi scan who had concealed a mobile phone in the false ceiling of the changing room. A couple who reached the path lab for testing the hidden phone with the camera on. When they enquired, the staff allegedly assaulted them.
Later, the couple approached the police and lodged a complaint.
Acting on the complaint, police raided the MRI center and detained the suspected staff. Police found some videos of the changing room on the mobile phone of the accused.
FIR registered
According to police, the incident took place at Malviya Nagar under Arera Hills police station limits on Thursday afternoon. An FIR was registered against the accused, and he is being interrogated in this connection.
TI Manoj Patwa said that aged around 20 years, Vishal Thakur has been working as a ward boy at the MRI centre for the past three months. Two videos of the changing room have been found on his mobile phone, and it is suspected that he may have deleted the other videos or had stored them in some other device.
Vishal is being questioned to ascertain if he was sharing the videos with other staff at the MRI centre or if he was also involved in selling the videos to porn sites, etc. The role of other staff at the MRR centre is also under scrutiny. An FIR has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of BNS, TI added.Acting on the complaint, police raided the MRI centre and detained the suspected staff. What was the matter?
According to information, the victim couple are the residents of Jahangirabad area. They went to the MRI centre on Thursday afternoon. The same day, the woman spotted a camera-like device in the false ceiling while she was changing the gown for an MRI scan in the changing room.
The woman alerted her husband who found a phone fixed in the cavity of the false ceiling. The man claimed that the phone had been recording videos for the past 27 minutes.
Moreover, there were many videos of other women on the mobile phone.
The couple claimed that the staff at the MRI centre behaved aggressively when questioned about the mobile phone at the changing room. Instead, they snatched away the mobile phone and refused to speak on the issue. The couple also alleged that they somehow managed to escape and reach the Arera Hills police station for help.
Taking prompt action, in-charge at Arera Hills police station TI Manoj Patwa raided the MRI centre and sealed the changing room. After primary questioning with the staff at the MRI centre, police detained Vishal Thakur whose mobile phone was found at the changing room.
