Mumbai: Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has issued clarification after his father said that he announced retirement from cricket as he was humiliated for a long time. Ashwin took to his official social media account and asked the media to leave his father alone and forgive him for statements. He also said that his father is not media trained.

R Ashwin tweeted, "My dad isn’t media trained, dey father enna da ithelaam. I never thought you would follow this rich tradition of “dad statements” . Request you all to forgive him and leave him alone."
